Keynote: Sandhya Ramdhany
Country Leader & Snr Legal Director, Oracle South Africa
Sandhya Ramdhany is Oracle Corporation’s Country Leader and Legal Director for South Africa. Sandhya is the lead lawyer for Oracle’s business operations in South Africa and the SADC regions and was recently appointed as the Country Leader. Sandhya is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa with over twenty years experience. She is a graduate of the University of Kwa Zulu Natal, with a postgraduate Management Advancement Program Certificate obtained from the Wits Business School.
Sandhya began her career at Oracle in 2013 after spending six years at Accenture. Prior to leading the South African and SADC Legal Department, Sandhya was Senior Legal Counsel for Oracle’s business in East and West Africa. Having worked extensively across the African continent, Sandhya advises the Corporation on matters relating to data privacy, GDPR, POPIA, intellectual property and the legal intricacies of cloud computing. She has led negotiations on complex, high-value transactions for Oracle. Sandhya is a Director and Company Secretary on the Oracle South Africa Board and Director on the Oracle Senegal Board.

Technology Software Country Director, Oracle South Africa
Gomedi Makhongoana is Oracle’s Technology Software Country Director. He is responsible for leading the company’s technology license business in South Africa, helping drive revenue growth and ensuring client satisfaction. Working with a skilled team of Oracle colleagues, Gomedi develops and executes Oracle’s agenda in the local market. He helps clients realize the value of transformation with Oracle’s cloud business via PaaS and IaaS solutions. Gomedi has over 10 years’ experience helping South African government succeed with enterprise software and technology.

Debra Lilley is an Oracle ACE Director https://ace.oracle.com. She is a board member of Oracle Developer and Technology User Group (ODTUG) and a past president of the UK Oracle User Group. Given his hands-on approach, Michael has secured several sales and partnerships, and he has been invited as a keynote speaker at a number of conferences and international gatherings including the Future Leaders and Sales Academy.
Michael’s life in sales began when he started selling balloons at the Rand Easter Show, and then dinner sets door-to-door on a commission only basis (he was recognised as the top dinner set salesman for three months in a row).
Michael was appointed as a Sales Rep for Bromor Foods in March 1990 where he packed shelves in the Far East Rand and led a team of five merchandisers who taught him how to converse in Zulu. He went on to win several awards at Bromor Foods, including Sales Rep for the period three times before being promoted, National S.P.A.C.E Winner, National Soda Stream Winner, Key Account Manager of the year, Overall Winner for the VIP Incentive Trip to the Barcelona Olympic Games.
In 1996, Michael was appointed as Regional Sales Manager for Brown Forman, where he built and led the sales team from scratch as Brown Forman had just started in SA.
In May 2000 he was appointed as GM: Sales for Supercall Cellular, and in Feb 2001, he became Executive Head of Sales for Vodacom, and Corporate Sales Director in 2004. Michael was appointed as Managing Executive of Vodacom Business in 2007, where he achieved a performance rating of X (highest rating possible), and is identified as one of the top three future enterprise leaders in the world by Vodafone.
Michael was part of the Vodacom Executive team for nearly fourteen years, and is accustomed to leading diverse teams through corporate change. He successfully integrated the customer’s bases and staff of eight companies. His responsibilities included all customer segments of the Enterprise Market and his experience encompasses commercial marketing, sales, operations and customer care. Michael was part of the Confirmatory Due Diligence team that conducted an analysis on Neotel. He held the position of Principle Officer for the Vodacom Pension & Provident Funds.
Michael built The Green Co from the ground up, which focuses on Green Water, Green Waste, Green Energy and Green IT. He holds an International Graduate Diploma in Marketing and AEDP from the University of SA.
